Ruth Ann Tuner Greenfield, 76, of Benton, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Ruth was born in Mayfield on August 16, 1947 to James Ray Turner and Dee Etta Cunningham Turner. She worked as a Human Resource Specialist with 3A Composites. Ruth was a proud Christian and member of Church Grove United Methodist Church, where she played the organ for many years.
She enjoyed beautiful flowers and listening to bluegrass music. Ruth was a sweet, gentle soul with a huge heart, she never had an unkind word to say about anyone or anything. She cherished any moment she was able to spend surrounded by her family. Ruth especially loved birthdays and any other celebration where she was able to make her grandbabies and great grandbabies feel special.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Carl Wayne Greenfield of Benton; two daughters, Michelle Smothers (Greg) of Benton and Charlotte Richards of Benton; one sister, Becky McKernan of Williamsport, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Savana Thielen (Patrick) of Benton, Sydney Smothers (Taylor Powell) of Benton, Taylor Mays (Braydn) of Benton, Jacob Richards (Joty) of Cedar Hill, TN, Anna Claire Richards of Benton, and Sam Richards of Benton; and four great grandchildren, Eli Brown, Koe Thielen, Cori Mays, and Acelyn Richards.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David Turner.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home with Rev. Samantha Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Benton Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home.
