Daymar College's 'Fast and Furriest 5K' Saturday benefits Project Hope No-Kill Animal Shelter
Daymar College is now registering participants for the 2nd Annual Daymar College Fast and Furriest 5K and Fun Run. The event is set for Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Noble Park in Paducah.
Project Hope No-Kill Animal Shelter, a non-profit organization in Metropolis, IL will receive all proceeds from the event. The event will include a 5K walk/run and a one-mile fun run. New for this year is a water-misting finish line! Participants are welcome to bring friendly dogs, but need to follow the Paducah ordinance requiring a muzzle during public events. All dogs in attendance will receive a treat!
Registration is available online at Active.com or by mail. A registration form can be downloaded on the event’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/fastandfurriest5k). Adult cost for pre-registration is $18 and children $8.
Race day registration is $20 for adults and $10 for children. Register between 6:00 - 6:45 am, and the race begins at 7:00 am.
