Edible Plant Workshop at McCracken Co. Library

PADUCAH, KY - McCracken County Public Library will host an Edible Plants Workshop on Tuesday, May 8 from 7 - 8 pm.

The Edible Plants Workshop will focus on which local plants can safely be eaten, and which to avoid. The workshop will feature Craig and Jennifer Caudill of the Nature Reliance School, who previously held a successful Survival Workshop at the library in June 2017.

Craig Caudill is the Director and Chief Instructor of the Nature Reliance School located in Central Kentucky. 

Craig and Jennifer have has been featured on the TV shows Kentucky Afield, Tim Farmer's Country Kitchen and Kentucky Life as well as been interviewed on local news segments to share safety and survival skills.

Craig is the author of the book Extreme Wilderness Safety and Survival, and Ultimate Wilderness Gear.

Craig and Jennifer became well known for their monthly column "Eatin' Weeds" in Self-Reliance Illustrated. Craig has also written for Wilderness Way, American Frontiersman, and American Survival Guide magazines. He has a very active blog and also guest blogs for Knowledge Weighs Nothing, How To Do Stuff, Family Protection Association, and American Gun Association. He has an active Youtube channel in which he provides education on all things outdoors. Craig is forever a student and therefore continues to train and grow in his own skill set. 

This workshop will include an informative indoor presentation led by Craig, as well as a brief outdoor session led by Jennifer, time and weather permitting.

The McCracken County Public Library is located at 555 Washington St. in downtown Paducah.
