School’s out and many families go out of town on vacation. But, while you’re relaxing by the pool enjoying the warm weather, take a moment to think about the people spending their summer inside a hospital.  Their need is constant.

To help save lives, July 11- 12, the American Red Cross and the wonderful people of the Paducah community are partnering for Paducah Donor Days Blood Drive at the Cherry Civic Center from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm.

In recent months, the American Red Cross blood supply has taken a serious hit. The American Red Cross has issued an Emergency Appeal to blood donors of all types. There is almost half the amount of readily available blood in the Red Cross inventory now than there was at this time last year.

All presenting donors will receive a Rock-and-Roll themed t-shirt and a coupon for a free carwash from Expressway Carwash, while supplies last. In addition, all presenting donors will be eligible to win a Gibson Guitar, the chance to win a $3,000 American Express gift card usable toward gas, rent, bills or even just your favorite summer splurge AND all donors age 16-21 can enter to win a $5,000 scholarship.

Plus, Pizza Inn is providing pizza after 11:00 am, while supplies last.

The Cherry Civic Center is located at the corner of H.C. Mathis Drive and Park Avenue in Paducah.
