Professional Organization for Information & Network Technology to Meet at CSI
Drew Perry, Murray State University security analyst, will be the speaker at the fall meeting of POINT (Professional Organization for Information & Network Technology) on Aug. 9 from noon to 1 pm at Computer Services Inc. (CSI), 3901 Technology Drive in Paducah, KY.
Perry will discuss the Murray State Security Awareness Program and explain the steps taken to develop the program. In addition, he will offer ways in which units and individuals can adopt MSU’s methods.
Perry works with the Information Security group in the office of CIO. He holds the master’s degree in telecommunications systems management.
He has been a guest speaker for the CFSB Security Matters Conference, for the What Parents Need to Know conference and for ACUTA seasonal seminars and annual conference.
POINT was started in February 2009 by the Regional Business and Innovation Center (RBIC), the Murray State department of computer science and information systems, and the Center for Telecommunications Systems Management.
The mission of POINT is “to introduce and share knowledge in the high-tech fields of software development and information technology while providing environments for professionals to network on a regular basis.”
The fall meeting is sponsored by RBIC, CSI and Entre Paducah.
