Gatlin Brothers to Perform at CFSB 44th Annual Watermelon Bust

BENTON, KY - Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers will perform in a free (ticketed) concert on Saturday, August 4th for the Community Financial Services Bank’s 44th Annual Watermelon Bust at the Kenneth Shadowen Performing Arts Center.

Free tickets will be required for concert and will be available beginning July 6th at 8 am at all CFSB locations, while supplies last (limit four tickets per person, per visit).

Over the course of a four-decade career that has taken the Gatlin Brothers from dusty Texas stages to White House performances, from Broadway to Grammy Awards, to the top of the country charts, there has been one unifying element, music. The pure family harmony will be especially  entertaining in the intimate setting at the Kenneth Shadowen Performing Arts Center.

At this stage, the Gatlins have the best of both worlds, families and fans, plenty of work both as individuals and together. "A long time ago we decided to make music for our fans and people who came to our shows," says Larry Gatlin, ”and I know that Steve, Rudy, and I are going to stand up and sing in tune every night and during the day, play as much golf as possible."

This time-honored tradition marks 44 years and features 2,000 pounds of ice cold watermelon, kids games and more. Watermelon serving, kids activities and socializing will begin at 5 pm near the rear entrance to the KSPAC, due to ongoing construction at the High School.

Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers will take the stage at 6 pm in the KSPAC at MCHS, 416 High School Rd. The event is free and open to the public; however, due to the limited capacity of the KSPAC, tickets will be required for the concert.
