Western Kentucky Polar Plunge and Polar 5K

GILBERTSVILLE - This year's Western Kentucky Polar Plunge and Polar 5K will take place at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park on Saturday, March 6.

The Polar Plunge & Polar 5K for Special Olympics Kentucky challenges you to get the "Chill of a Lifetime" in support of the 11,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities who participate in year-round sports and health programming provided by Special Olympics Kentucky.

A Polar Plunge is one of the most unique fundraisers around. It’s a great way for everyone —individuals, organizations and businesses— to get involved in supporting Special Olympics Athletes. The community comes together and creates an inclusive atmosphere for fun, camaraderie and caring!  Become a part of the coolest event of the season in 2021! You can plunge, run, donate or volunteer and make an everlasting memory this winter season.

So, grab some friends, get excited, register and let's celebrate over 10 years together!  All funds raised go to support 11,300 Special Olympics Athletes in Kentucky, especially those in Calloway and Marshall Counties - right here in Western KY-  and all donations are tax-deductible.

NEW FOR 2021!
Make your Polar Plunge personal.  If you're not able to attend the event in person, you can take your plunge in the privacy of your own backyard or bathroom. Run through a sprinkler, Make a Snow Angel, Fill a Kiddie Pool on the lawn. All to benefit Special Olympics Kentucky. Film it and post your video on the Polar Plunge Facebook page. More details to come...

Challenge yourself and go for the Triple Crown this year,

You can run in the Polar 5K, take a jump off the docks into the lake and then also run into the lake from the shore for the Triple Crown. Make sure you check Triple Crown when registering!
