The Murray Calloway Endowment for Healthcare’s annual Murray Half Marathon will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 and will mark the seventh anniversary of the event.

The Murray Half Marathon offers three races on a certified course, a 13.1 mile race, a 13.1 mile two-person relay race or a 5K run/walk. All proceeds from the race support operations at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House, which is expected to open in the spring. Runners interested in participating may sign up at www.MurrayHalfMarathon.org and several discount levels are offered based on how early the participant registers. Course information and other important details are also available on the site.

Another support area for the race is through sponsorships:

The Silver Sponsorship is $1,000 and includes booth space at the expo, banner space and signage, two free race registrations (for the Half, Relay or 5K).

The Youth Sponsorship is $1,000 and includes 50 race registrations. Sold to a business that provides registrations to student athletes in the county.

The Expo Table Sponsorship is $250 and includes booth space at the Health and Fitness Expo which is held the day before the race. All runners, volunteers and community members are invited to browse vendor and sponsor tables while picking up race information at the expo.

Bronze is $500 and places your logo on the tech running shirt given to runners.

Wings will be worn during the race and around the community as runners help educate the community about hospice. The story of hospice began with a butterfly and will help create awareness about the meaning behind why we run.
