In partnership with JLF Design and supported by BB&T’s Lighthouse Project, along with many other businesses and individuals, the 18-year-old clinic has a new look.  “The dedication and generosity of our community has been incredible over the last month”, says Brandi Harless, Executive Director of the Clinic.  Supporters and volunteers have included Independence Bank, Trees and Trends, Kirkland’s, Home Flooring America, Home Floor Center, Pittsburg Paint, CSI, Friendship Baptist Church Youth Group, Murray State Regional Campus Ambassadors, Rotaract, Zonta International,  Oscar Cross Boys and Girls Club, employees from Best Buy, Flemming Furniture, Kohl’s and USEC, and a large number of individual volunteers. 

“The Clinic feels welcoming now”, says Jessica Folmar of JLF Interior Designs.  “We really wanted to make the place inviting and comfortable for those who are coming in as patients.  I think we can say we accomplished that.”  The renovations have included new  flooring,  paint and artwork throughout the entire building, a remodeled waiting space with comfy chairs, a TV and new office furniture.    “The Open House is an opportunity for the community to stop by and see the hard work that has been put into making St. Nicholas a better place”, says Harless. 

St. Nicholas Family Clinic provides urgent and primary care to working individuals who are uninsured with household incomes below 200% of the federal poverty level. For example, a family of four can make $44,700 and be qualified.
