Dye Workshop by Jennifer Moss at A.I. R. Studio

PADUCAH, KY - If you'd like to learn how to prepare fibers and cook dye and then actually watch those fabrics be naturally dyed, you might want to join Artist-in-Residence Jennifer Moss for a free two-day workshop on June 16th & 17th at A.I.R. Studio, 621 Madison St. in Lower Town.
June 16th 1-4 pm - Preparing Fibers and Cooking Dye
June 17th 1-3 pm - Dyeing Fibers Naturally
Several different dye baths will be prepared so that participants can explore colors and results. Registered participants can bring up to 1/4 pound of animal fibers (wool, silk, alpaca, etc.) in the form of yarn, fabric, or roving. Fiber may be natural or bleached, but participants may experiment with over-dyeing as well. Please do not bring plant-based or synthetic fibers.
Participation is limited to eight people, and registration is required. To register or for more information, contact the Yeiser Art Center at 270-442-2453.
