After their big pop break in 1978 with "Kiss You All Over", Exile recorded an astounding streak of chart-topping country hits:
1984 - "Woke Up in Love," "I Don't Wanna Be a Memory," and "Give Me One More Chance"
1985 - "Crazy for Your Love," "Hang on to Your Heart," and "She's a Miracle,"
1986 - "I Could Get Used to You" and "It'll Be Me,"
1987 - "She's Too Good to Be True,"
1988 - "I Can't Get Close Enough."
Exile also wrote #1 hits for others, like Janie Fricke ("It Ain't Easy Being Easy") and Alabama ("The Closer You Get," "Take Me Down").
Bellamy Brothers "Let Your Love Flow" was a crossover hit on the Country and Pop Singles chart in 1976, but the Bellamys' hit #1 on the Country charts in 1979, with "If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me".
After that song's success, the brothers continued with a run of 50 country hits, including tunes such as the fun-loving "Redneck Girl"; serious ballads like "Santa Fe" and the insightful social commentary pieces, "Old Hippie" and "Kids of the Baby Boom."
Billboard named the Bellamy Brothers as Top Country Duo and they eventually went on to set the record for most duo nominations from both Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association.
