This event goes beyond the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail to invite the participation of other wineries throughout Illinois. Sponsored by the Murphysboro Chamber of Commerce, it will take place Saturday, May 25 from noon to 8 pm.
As many as ten wineries will set up booths, offer samples, and sell wine by the glass. Expect catered food, about twenty-five artists and artisans, and live music.
Bristol Broadcasting Meteorologist Lew Jetton & his band, 61 South will perform, along with a rockabilly trio, The Swamp Tigers, and blues and retro rock/blues band, Soul Glo. New this year at the event is a beer tent and photo booth!
Admission at the gate is $12. Advance tickets are $10. Non-drinkers and beer only drinkers may enter for $4.
Organizers will provide seating, but lawn chairs, blankets, and shade umbrellas are welcome.
