All educators are invited to plan a learning experience outdoors during the 1st ever Homeschooler’s Month across Land Between The Lakes (LBL). Plan a field trip to Land Between The Lakes to use the outdoors as your classroom anytime; this new program in April offers a passport of learning.

Pick up your “Land Between The Lakes Explorers Passport” during April at Woodlands Nature Station, The Homeplace, or Golden Pond Planetarium. Complete the activities to earn an official Explorer’s Patch and certificate! Throughout the month, take advantage of unique learning opportunities, hands-on exploration activities, and take-home materials available at all three attractions:  Nature Station, The Homeplace, and Golden Pond Planetarium.

Join the staff for one of the many family-friendly staff-led programs featured in the LBL April calendar, including the 2nd Annual Homeschooler’s Day at Nature Station on Friday, April 25, from 10 am-3 pm. Explore your world and follow the Nature Station on Twitter @LBLNature.

Events throughout the month of April include:
· Learn about native wildlife--attend a Creative Feature program at Nature Station, offered each weekday in April at 2:30 pm.
· Learn about practical life skills—join The Homeplace staff for gardening, sewing, or woodworking each Wednesday in April at 2 pm, or come any day to experience life on a farm in 1850.
· Learn about our solar system and night sky—visit the Golden Pond Planetarium for daily programs beginning at 10 am.
