Matthew Houser is New LOHS Principal

PADUCAH, KY - Matthew Houser has been selected as principal of Lone Oak High School. Houser served as a classroom teacher at Hendron-Lone Oak Elementary School from 2006-2011 and most recently served as assistant principal of Lone Oak High School.

“Matthew Houser has earned respect among the students, faculty and staff of Lone Oak High School,” says Superintendent Dr. Nancy Waldrop. “We look forward to working with him as he leads Lone Oak High School this upcoming year.”

Houser holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in school administration. He has coached soccer at both Lone Oak and Reidland high schools. Houser has also served as assistant director of the Purchase Area Writing Project at Murray State University since 2010.

“Lone Oak High School has a dedicated staff, outstanding students, active parents and the support from thousands in the community who are deeply invested in our kids,” says Houser. “I believe in the vision our district leadership has for the future and am honored to be a small part of the great things happening in McCracken County Schools."
