PTHS Speech Team Earns Regional Runner-Up Honors

The  PTHS Speech Team earned Regional Runner Up honors at the Kentucky High School Speech League competition held on February 2.

Lois Akpabio was named Regional Champion in Declamation, and she and partner Gabby Copeland earned the Regional Champion title in Improvisational Duo.

Angelea Shute and Jake Taylor earned Regional Runner Up medals in Improvisational Duo.

Grace Raber was named Regional Runner Up in Original Oratory, and teammate Shioneka Farr earned the Regional Runner Up medal in Poetry.
Rounding out Tilghman's medalists, Lillian Wisner was named Regional Runner Up in Program Oral Interpretation.

The team, coached by Ms. Rachael Castillo, will compete at the KHSSL State Competition at the University of Kentucky in March.
