Randy Layne has been chosen as principal for the school. Layne holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from Murray State University and  he earned a Master's degree in School Administration from Morehead State University. 

Layne  recently served as assistant principal of Reidland Middle School, where he previously worked as a mathematics teacher. Layne is a highly respected educator and his diverse professional background also includes military service, business and project management, and coaching in a variety of sports.

"It is my goal to combine my professional experience with my ability to motivate faculty and students in order to achieve college and career readiness for the students of Reidland Elementary School," Layne said.
