Gun shots were reported at the University of Kentucky campus in Lexington late Sunday night.

The university told students to avoid the area of the Kirwan-Blanding complex, where three shots were fired, and to seek shelter through an emergency notification system email that was delivered at 9:55 p.m.

Students were notified via several official university twitter accounts and the school's website to stay away from south complex area of the campus.

According to an official update from UK, witnesses said the shots came from a group of males dressed in all black clothing and fled on foot.

No one was injured, according to a university statement.

UK police issued an all-clear advisory just after midnight, Monday.
