The Lexington Herald-Leader reports that the university presidents held their final meeting at the Council on Postsecondary Education on Monday. They hope to present a new plan to Gov. Matt Bevin and the General Assembly by the Friday deadline.
The plan would divide up the $49 million Bevin appropriated to outcomes in the next fiscal year.
Under one proposal, about 35 percent of funding would be based on student success. Categories would include the number of bachelor's degrees produced, the number of science degrees produced and the number of degrees earned by underrepresented minorities.
