National Day of Prayer Event in Paducah Thursday

Folks are invited to come to downtown Paducah on Thursday in observance of the National Day of Prayer.

The West Kentucky Christian Alliance is sponsoring the event, which starts at noon at Dolly McNutt Memorial Plaza. Free refreshments and music will be featured, as well as speeches from Paducah City Commissioner Richard Abraham and Rev. Don Young.

The event is free and open to the public. 

The National Day of Prayer is an annual day of observance held on the first Thursday of May, designated by the United States Congress, when people are asked "to turn to God in prayer and meditation".
