A Paducah take-out restaurant has opened a new sit-down restaurant, in a familiar location.

After making a name at his Cardinal Point location, Ed White, proprietor of Big Ed's, has opened his new restaurant in the former Pork Peddler building at 701 North 8th Street. White said he did consult with Miss Pat of the Pork Peddler before he moved into her old spot.

The new place features an all-you-can-eat buffet style, similar to the Pork Peddler, including the ice cream machine.

Big Ed's is open for lunch and dinner buffets, with seafood buffets Friday and Saturday nights. It is closed on Mondays.

White has closed the Cardinal Point location.
