By WestKyStar & Mercy Health Staff
PADUCAH - Mercy Health Behavioral Health Services will conduct free depression screenings on Thursday, October 11 in honor of National Depression Screening Day and Mental Health Awareness Week. The free screenings are open to the public from 10 am to 3 pm in the Mercy Health - Marshall Nemer Medical Office Building on the second floor mezzanine. No appointments are needed.

National Depression Screening Day (NDSD) raises awareness and screens people for depression and anxiety disorders. NDSD is an education and screening event conducted by hospitals, clinics, colleges, and community groups nationwide.  It’s the nation’s oldest voluntary, community-based screening program that gives access to a validated screening questionnaire.
