Makes 2 quarts

1/2 gallon freshly fallen snow
1/2 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup fat-free half n half

When it starts to snow, place a large stainless steel or glass bowl outside to collect the flakes. When full, stir in sugar and vanilla to taste, then stir in just enough half n half or milk for the desired consistency. I like to use my stainless mixing bowl so it gets icy cold and then mix with the electric whisk. Serve at once. Beware of "brain freeze". It's so tasty that it's easy to get carried away and eat it too fast.

Honey Snow Cream
1/3 cup honey
1 cup milk or fat-free half n half
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 cups fresh snow

Mix honey, milk or cream and vanilla in a cold stainless or glass bowl. Stir in the fresh snow until consistency is like typical ice cream. Serve plain or with fresh sliced fruit.
