Serves 10
1 can dark red kidney beans, drained
1 can green lima beans
1 can pork and beans
1/2 cup catsup
1/8 cup light brown sugar
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
1/2 - 1 pound ground chuck or ground turkey
1/2 tesaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup chopped sweet onion
1/2 cup chopped bell peppers
4 slices bacon, cut in bite-size pieces
Pour the beans, catsup, sugar and mustard into a crockpot. In a skillet, brown the beef (or turkey) with salt, pepper, onions, peppers and bacon pieces. Drain off grease and add to the crockpot. Stir all together. Cook on low at least 5 hours (or up to 8 hours).
