Seventeen people were arrested this week on prostitution charges.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation this week of local prostitution activity after receiving complaints regarding on-line ads on websites, including skipthegames.com and cityxguide.com.

Undercover detectives made agreements with persons believed to be prostitutes placing the ads, as well as those that responded to ads placed by detectives during the investigation.

During the operation, the following persons were arrested and booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail:

26 year-old Aaron J. Kelley, of Paducah
39-year-old Joshua W. Culp, of Benton, KY

28-year-old Mallory Shisler, of Carbondale
40-year-old Christopher D. Taylor, of Marion, IL
25-year-old Anissa R. Haymon, of Marion, IL
53-year-old Penny L. Baird, of Paducah
38-year-old Benny L. Dawson, of Paducah
35-year-old Natasha L. Henson, of Hardin

25-year-old Sarah Taber, address unknown
28-year-old Shevah Ohara, of Oak Grove

22-year-old Delandra Stubblefield, of Hickman
66-year-old Dennis Richards, of Eddyville, IL
29-year-old Jose Gonzalez, of Suwanee, GA
31-year-old Joel V. Marquez, of Mexico

McCracken County Sheriff Matt Carter commented on the multi-day operation. “ A multitude of crimes can often be directly correlated to prostitution. The message we hope to send as a result of this operation is simple. McCracken County is not a safe place to engage in this type of activity and proactive enforcement will continue. This is not the first operation we have conducted, and it will not be the last.”
