5 Sent to Hospitals After McCracken Crash

A two-vehicle crash Wednesday in McCracken County left five people injured.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, the collision happened at Old Mayfield Road and Walnut Drive. Deputies said a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Brandon Slagle of Paducah was traveling east on Walnut Drive when he attempted to stop at the stop sign at Old Mayfield Road. Slagle told deputies his brakes didn't work properly and he entered Old Mayfield Road and struck the passenger side of a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Delrita Adams, also of Paducah.  
 
Slagle was transported to Baptist Health Paducah for treatment of his injuries  Adams, and three juvenile passengers, 16-year-old Delarion Johnson, one-year-old Jadale Johnson and two-year-old Nalzyia Johnson, all of Paducah were transported to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of their injuries.  

Adams was cited for not having the two young children in child safety seats.
