Barbecue Booths Rebuild After Storm

PADUCAH, KY - Barbecue on the River crews rebuilt their booths and displays Thursday morning, after Wednesday night's storms moved through the area.

But everyone expected to be ready when the festival began at 11 Thursday morning.

To allow for the setup and enjoyment of the Barbeque on the River Festival, several roads are closed in downtown Paducah, including:
 

· Kentucky Avenue at 3rd Street
 
· 2nd Street at Broadway
 
· Jefferson Street at 3rd Street

· Madison Street at 3rd Street
 
· Monroe Street at 3rd Street


· Water Street at Washington
 
· Kentucky Avenue entrance to riverfront
 
· Broadway at 3rd Street
 
· Kentucky Avenue and 2nd Street

The intersections at Broadway and 4th  Street and Broadway and 5th Street may also be closed at some times during the festival.
 
Shuttle service is provided from Carson Park Thursday and Friday, 4-10 pm and Saturday 10 am - 10 pm. The shuttle takes festivalgoers from Carson Park to a drop off point on Monroe near the National Quilt Museum. 

Handicap parking is located behind the Finkel’s building (enter lot from Washington Street), and in a section of the former Executive Inn parking lot.
