Black History Month: Tuesday Town Hall at WKCTC

Several local organizations have joined together to present a town hall meeting titled, "Unfinished Business in 2020," on Tuesday, February 18.

A reception will start the evening at 5 pm in WKCTC's Crounse Hall atrium, followed by the town hall from 5:30 - 7 pm in Crounse Hall room 101. 

The discussion will focus on African Americans' involvement in the community and expanding leadership roles. Attendees are welcome to participate in the discussion. The event, co-sponsored by the Paducah McCracken County NAACP chapter, the Paducah Minority Networking Group and WKCTC's Diversity and Inclusion office, is part of the college's Black History Month events.

Allene Jones, principal, Paducah Middle School
Neal Clark, executive director, Oscar Cross Boys & Girls Club
Corbin Snardon, assistant principal, Paducah Middle School and candidate for KY House of Representatives
Reverend Anthony Walton, Christ Temple Apostolic Church
Lakilia Bedeau, director of Tornado Alley Youth Service Center, Paducah Tilghman High School
Tony Copeland, planner/supervisor, Arkema
Charles Hamilton, board chair, McCracken County Community Career Endowment (MCCCE)

Moderators are morning show host A.J. Martin from Electric 96.9 and journalist Shamarria Morrison of WPSD Local 6.

The forum will be presented Facebook Live on the WKCTC Facebook page. Anyone can like the page to receive notifications about the event.
