The Paducah City Commission discussed amending Chapter 58 of the City of Paducah Religious Freedom Ordinance at their meeting on Tuesday evening.

Both Mayor Brandi Harless and Commissioner Richard Abraham proposed amendments to the Religious Freedom Ordinance. However, due to legal questions, the board decided to wait until their next meeting to discuss the subject further, and possibly take action at that time.

In other business, the board approved the Consent Agenda and approved five Municipal Orders, including one to authorize the transfer of $150,000 from the contingency account, to the demolition project account for the Kresge Building in downtown Paducah, and also one authorizing $150,000 for the Sprocket, Inc. RISE Program.

The next regularly scheduled board meeting will be on May 28th.
