Due to a water main break, Paducah Water has issued a boil water advisory for the Massac and Melber areas, South of Lovelaceville Road and West of the new Highway 44.

The advisory is in effect until flushing of lines and analyzing of bacteriological samples confirm the safety of the water.

Until the samples are confirmed negative, the Division of Water recommends that all water used for drinking or food preparation be brought to a rolling boil for at least 3 minutes.

Anyone with questions may  contact Superintendent Ricky Gilbert, or Water Quality Supervisor Mindy Martin at 270-442-2746.
