Bookmobile to Make Stop at Paducah Farmers' Market
By West Kentucky Star Staff
PADUCAH - The McCracken County Public Library Bookmobile, the "Brary Bus", will make its first official stop on May 1st at The Paducah Farmer's Market.

The bookmobile has 15 planned stops, including grocery stores and assisted living facilities which will be visited once a month. By providing a mobile collection, The McCracken County Public Library will be able to improve outreach to members of the community who may not be able to visit the main library branch.

The Paducah Bank donated $10,000 to provide the opening collection of the bookmobile, which includes a variety of materials for all ages. The materials capacity is around 1,000 items.

Patrons will be able to check-out and return items as well as getting basic reference help. Free public Wi-Fi will also be available at stops.

Due to Covid-19 precautions, face masks will be required and only one household will be permitted on the bookmobile at a time. Hand sanitizer will be provided.

Information about the bookmobile stop locations and schedule can be found at Updates about The McCracken County Public Library and the bookmobile can be found on our website and Facebook page @mclibdotnet.
