Buckner-Sycamore Four-Way Stop Begins August 20th
By West Kentucky Star Staff
PADUCAH - The City of Paducah has announced that the Buckner Lane and Sycamore Drive intersection will become a four-way stop effective at 6:00 am on Monday, August 20th.

The change is being made to enhance pedestrian and vehicular safety. Stop signs have been installed on Buckner Lane, but will stay covered until the effective date. Currently, only Sycamore Drive has stop signs at the intersection.

The Traffic Commission voted on June 21st to make the change after discussing several options.

The intersection is near Immanuel Baptist Church and Clark Elementary School, which sees periods of increased traffic and street side parking. This leads to difficulty in navigating the intersection.
