A Paducah dentist is inviting parents and the community to participate in a Halloween candy buy-back program called Operation Gratitude.

Halloween comes on Wednesday this calendar year. The Friday and Saturday following Halloween, candy can be taken to Dr. Charles Bohle's office on Broadway in Paducah. One dollar per pound of candy will be given to individuals who participate, and the candy collected will be sent to US troops deployed overseas.

Dr. Bohle said, "We're gonna gather as much candy as we can. We're gonna send it to Operation Gratitude. They're gonna process it, and they're gonna send it to our deployed troops overseas, so they can get a little taste of home."

The hours for candy collection are Friday, November 2, from 3-6 pm, and Saturday, November 3, from 9am-noon.

Dr. Bohle calls it "...the easiest fundraiser you can imagine. We think it's a win-win for everybody."
