It was another successful fundraiser for Lourdes Foundation on Monday. The 15th Annual Charity Golf Open raised $80,000 at the Country Club of Paducah.

The tournament hosted a total of 52 teams, with over 200 golfers and volunteers participating. “We are very humbled by the generosity of our donors and community,” said Steven Grinnell, Lourdes President and CEO. “With this funding, the healing ministry of Lourdes can be extended even further, providing compassionate, excellent care to more members of our community in need.”

The Lourdes Foundation Charity Golf Open has raised nearly $850,000 in the past 15 years. Donations to the Foundation improve the health of our community by providing support for advanced technology and projects and services that enhance patient care at Lourdes.

“This golf outing is one of our biggest fundraisers each year,” said Tara Miller, Lourdes Foundation president. “The sponsors and donors who participate make such a tremendous difference because their support is used by Lourdes Foundation to fund important projects that bring better healthcare to our community.”

James Marine won first place in the morning flight with team members Matt Inan, Gary Zakutney, Brent Gaines, and Eric Crabtree. The team from Southgate Nursing & Rehabilitation took first prize in the afternoon. Southgate’s team members included Sam Thompson, David Glass, Steve Korte, and Jerry Throgmorton.

Two tickets to the 2015 Masters Practice Round were awarded to David Hughes, winner of the Masters Shootout Challenge, who bested 37 other golfers in a closest to the pin contest to win the prize.
