City Garbage Collection Changes for Thanksgiving

Paducah city residents will not have garbage collection on Thanksgiving Day or Black Friday.

According to a city press release, workers will pick up trash along Thursday's route on Wednesday, and those on Friday's route will have trash collected on Monday. 

The Freedom Waste recycling drop-off facility at 400 State Street will be closed Thanksgiving Day. Their normal hours are Monday through Friday from 7 am until 3:30 pm and Saturday from 8 am until noon. 

Also, the city's compost facility at 1560 North 8th Street will be closed Thanksgiving and on Friday, but it will reopen Saturday. The facility's regular operating schedule is Monday through Saturday from 7 am to 3 pm.  

City Hall and the Parks and Recreation offices will also be closed Thursday and Friday.
