FULTON, KY - Two western Kentucky towns have been selected to receive nearly $74,000 in federal grant money for fire department enhancements.
Kentucky US Representative Ed Whitfield announced on Thursday that both the City of Fulton and the Richland community in Hopkins County have been selected for the awards.
The money is directed to fire departments that are not directly associated with any specific hospital, and are given to enhance the ability of emergency personnel to respond to medical emergencies.
Whitfield says the City of Fulton will receive $39,805. The Richland Volunteer Fire Dept. will receive $34,115.
