Two people were injured in a three-vehicle accident Friday night in West Paducah.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department responded about 7:20 pm to the intersection of McKendree Church Road and U.S. Highway 62. Their investigation at the scene determined that 30-year-old Jessica Stadler of Bardwell was eastbound on Highway 62 when she saw a car stopped in front of her waiting to turn left. She was not able to stop in time, and rear-ended the vehicle, driven by 22-year-old Kaytlyn Westbay of Arlington.

Another vehicle driven by 42-year-old Michael Malm of Daphne, Alabama was westbound on Highway 62. Malm said he saw the collision and attempted to avoid it, but the impact pushed Westbay's car into his lane and it struck his vehicle.

Mercy EMS took Westbay to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of her injuries. A passenger in Malm's vehicle, 76-year-old James Willis of Arlington, was taken to Baptist Health Paducah for treatment of his injuries.

Concord Fire Department, West McCracken Fire Department, and Hadley's Towing helped at the scene. The road as temporarily closed until the scene was cleared.
