Collision on I-24 Tuesday Blocks Traffic Briefly

PADUCAH, KY - A hydroplaning SUV collided with a semi-tractor trailer on I-24 Tuesday evening, but nobody was injured.

McCracken County Sheriff's Department reports that 39-year-old Dennis Richie of Clarksville, TN was driving east on the Interstate about 5:40 pm, when his Nissan Pathfinder hydroplaned and left the road. It traveled across the median and struck a semi-tractor trailer driven by 68-year-old Allen Fraiser of Gilbertsville.

Reidland-Farley Fire Department and Mercy EMS responded, but there were no injuries. Westbound lanes of I-24 were closed for about an hour while the scene was cleared.
