Concord Firefighter's Funeral is Today

MCCRACKEN COUNTY - A local firefighter will be laid to rest today.

Thirty-one-year-old James William Bullard, of Paducah, passed away Sunday night at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Bullard was a firefighter for Concord Fire Department. 

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Folsomdale. 

There will be a 30 minute procession involving multiple departments to escort Bullard's casket to Liberty Baptist Church for his burial.

That procession will depart from Hughes Funeral Home located on Old Husbands Road. From there, the procession will then turn onto I-24 Westbound, take Exit 7 to US-45 toward US-62/Bardwell, turn left onto US-45 South/Lone Oak Road, proceed 12 miles to Pittman Road and then turn right onto Pittman Road to Liberty Baptist Church.

Bullard's casket will be unloaded from Engine 42 once it arrives at the church. Bullard's last call as well as the final bell ceremony will also happen at the church.
