County Considers Changes to Sick Leave Ordinance

On Monday, The McCracken County Fiscal Court had the first reading of an ordinance dealing with nepotism, and the use of sick leave.

Judge Executive Bob Leeper said, "We saw fit to make several changes to the administrative code, including procurement, some employee decisions, the nepotism rule."

Leeper said that there were several items that needed to be rolled into one ordinance.

The revisions will allow the use of of sick leave for county employees to attend medical, dental, and optical appointments.

The ordinace also expands the definition of immediate family under nepotism provisions. 

The final reading will be held in two weeks at the next scheduled meeting.
