Crash Sends Paducah Teen to Hospital

A single-vehicle crash Thursday morning in McCracken County sent one person to the hospital.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department said the crash happened at around 9:15 am on Mayfield Metropolis Road, south of Lovelaceville Road. Deputies said 18-year-old Emily Cartwright of Paducah was driving north on Mayfield Metropolis Road when she failed to negotiate a left curve. Cartwright's vehicle left the roadway, overturned, and hit a tree.
 
Cartwright was taken to Baptist Health Paducah for treatment of her injuries.
