Crash on I-24 Sends Paducah Man to Hospital

MCCRACKEN COUNTY - A single vehicle crash on I-24 Thursday evening has sent a Paducah man to the hospital.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, deputies were called to the scene, near mile marker 10, at 6:20 pm.

They said 25-year-old James Malone had a medical episode that caused him to lose consciousness and strike the cable barrier. 

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Deputies said Malone was in illegal possession of oxycodone. He was cited to court for first degree possession of controlled substance, first offense.
