A dog missing since a family was involved in a crash on Interstate 24 on Sunday has been found and returned home after an extensive search.

Kate Wilke, a relative of the dog's owners, said in a Facebook post that the pooch named Biscuit jumped out of the car and ran off after the crash near Paducah exit 4. The dog was found unharmed Tuesday evening after family and friends searched for days to find her.

"We have Biscuit with us and she has plenty of water and food. She is wagging her tail, but her paws are pretty raw. Very thin. We are excited to nurse her back to health quickly." Wilke said in a Facebook post Wednesday morning.

Wilke said her family is forever grateful to all those who helped search for Biscuit.
