A Paducah man was arrested Tuesday night on assault and other charges.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to a home on Smith Avenue in Farley for a reported domestic violence assault. When deputies arrived, the suspect, 43-year-old Gregory Thomas of Paducah, was seen chasing after a woman outside. Deputies ordered Thomas to stop but he ran inside the home and locked the door.

According to police, Thomas had been arrested at this same location and was out on bond for similar charges from an incident that happened on September 8. The sheriff department's special services team was called in to enter the home.

After a lengthy search of the premises, Thomas was found hiding inside the home and was taken into custody. Thomas was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail on charges of fourth degree assault, fleeing or evading on foot and violation of conditions of release.
