A Sedalia man was cited for his fourth DUI after a single-vehicle accident on Friday afternoon.

McCracken County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 6200 block of Old Mayfield Road just before 4:00 pm, and found that a Jeep Cherokee has run off the road in a curve and overturned.

The driver of the Jeep, 56-year-old Stevie Moore, told officers that he failed to negotiate the curve, then overcorrected, running off the right side of the road. He appeared not to have injuries, but was taken to a hospital by Mercy EMS to be examined.

Moore was released from the hospital just before 7:00 pm, and was then arrested for DUI - 4th offense, which is a class D felony. His third conviction for DUI was in 2008.

Moore was also charged with failing to maintain insurance on a vehicle, and possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a vehicle.

Traffic was restricted to one-lane while EMS, fire, and law enforcement worked the scene.
