Driver Injured in Single-Vehicle Accident

A Marshall County man was injured in a single-car accident Friday afternoon in Paducah.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department said the wreck happened about 4:20 pm at the intersection of Krebs Station Road and Old Mayfield Road. They way 30-year-old Stephan Johnson of Calvert City was westbound on Krebs Station when he topped the hill and was unable to stop because of faulty brakes. He said he swerved into the ditch to avoid vehicles at the stop sign.

The car flipped over when it hit the ditch, and Johnson was taken to a local hospital by Mercy EMS for treatment of injuries, which appeared to be non-life threatening.
