A man who escaped from Keeton Correctional Facility earlier in the week has been captured.

According to Kentucky State Police, escaped inmate Charles A. Richards was found and arrested by the local police department Friday in Winchester, Kentucky.

Troopers say they were called Sunday night about the missing inmate, who is serving a sentence for manufacturing methamphetamine.

Police say they are continuing their investigation into the escape.

The Kentucky State Police is searching for an escaped inmate.

State Police received a call from the Keeton Correctional Facility in Paducah on Sunday at approximately 8:30 pm about a missing inmate. The missing inmate is Charles A. Richards of Winchester, KY.

Police say Richards is a 28-year-old white man. He's 5’9”, and has blonde hair and blue eyes. It is unknown what Richards was wearing at the time of his escape. Richards was serving time for manufacturing methamphetamine.
