Three men have been arrested in connection with a shooting in Farley earlier this month.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, 33-year-old Bryan C. Spry, of Metropolis, had supplied methamphetamine to Louia Smith on Oct. 7. Smith allegedly told Spry that he was not going to pay him for the meth and on Oct. 8, Spry traveled with Eric Johnson of Metropolis to Smith’s home on Reed Street, where Johnson allegedly shot Smith in the face.

Detectives located Spry on Tuesday and charged him with trafficking methamphetamine and lodged him in the McCracken County Regional Jail. Johnson was located at a home on Ferry Street in Metropolis.

A search warrant was obtained for the home and during the search, detectives found two handguns, one of which is similar to the gun that is believed to have been used in the shooting of Smith. The other handgun had been reported stolen in Illinois just days prior.

Johnson was arrested for a felony parole violation warrant from the state of Illinois and on a 1st degree assault warrant stemming from the shooting. Another resident of the home, Shannon Sims, was charged with felon in possession of a handgun.

The investigation is continuing and other arrests and charges are likely. Police say it's unknown at this time if this shooting incident is linked to the Kevil shooting that occurred over the weekend. Detectives are still actively working on that case.
