Local McCracken County farmer Jeremy Jordan was awarded the America’s Farmers Grow Communities donation on April 27, and has dedicated his donation to the Carson Park 4-H Horse Club, a club with the McCracken County Cooperative Extension.

America’s Farmers Grow Communities program, funded and sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, supports farming communities by awarding $2,500 to one farmer in each of the 1,331 counties in 41 states to donate to their favorite community organization or nonprofit.

Jordan donated his winnings to the Horse Club, a program that has positively affected his own family and community.

“The Carson Park 4-H Horse Club is so thankful for the generosity of Mr. Jordan and the America’s Farmers Grow Communities Monsanto Fund,” said McCracken County 4-H Agent Adair Baysinger. “This donation will help provide more fun and enriching educational opportunities for the members of our club.”

The club will use the donation to help fund the educational programming they provide for McCracken County teens with a passion for horses.
