UPDATE: According to attorney Bard Brian, Mobley turned himself in to police Friday evening.

Three McCracken County residents have been arrested, and a fourth is being sought, after a robbery and shooting Thursday night in Noble Park.

Police were called at 8:17 pm to a report of shots fired near Shelter 20 on the northwest side of Noble Park. When they arrived, they found 23-year-old Jonathan Riley with a gunshot wound to his ankle.

According to Paducah Police, Riley had gone to the park to buy drugs from 19-year-old Austin Cunningham of Queensway Drive. Riley told detectives that a car pulled up and Cunningham and 18-year-old Ellas Mobley of Shaffer Road got out and demanded money from him. Riley said Mobley pulled a handgun and a struggle ensued.

Police said Riley told them that Mobley fired several shots, one of which struck Riley in the ankle. Riley said Cunningham and Mobley ran back to their vehicle and fled, but the vehicle went only a short distance before it stalled. He then reportedly ran after them and began beating on the car. He said 20-year-old James Burlingame of Woodville Road then began shooting at him from inside the car.

Cunningham, Mobley, Burlingame and a 17-year-old passenger in the car then fled toward a wooded area of the park.

Officers began searching the park, and two of the police department’s K9 units were deployed to track the four. Burlingame and the juvenile were located on Cairo Road near Potter Street and were taken into custody. Burlingame was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree robbery and booked into McCracken County Regional Jail. The juvenile was charged with complicity to first-degree robbery and booked into the McCracken County Juvenile Detention Center.

Officers responded to the parking lot of Baptist Health Paducah, after security officers reported seeing someone matching the description of one of the remaining two suspects. While talking with security officers, a PPD officer saw someone in some bushes. After police released a dog, Cunningham surrendered without further incident. He was charged with first-degree robbery and booked into McCracken County Regional Jail.

Authorities are still looking for Mobley. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is being asked to call the Paducah Police Department at 270-444-8550 or Crime Stoppers at 270-443-TELL.

The incident occurred 100-150 yards from the area of the Amphitheater, just before the Movie in the Park was set to begin. The park was evacuated and no other injuries were reported.
