PADUCAH, KY - Three Paducah men have been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into the destruction of a woman's car.
On January 16, Jacob Somero was arrested after DNA samples collected with a warrant matched blood spatter from the driveway on Highland Church Road, where the vehicle was damaged in April 2012. Somero had refused to provide a sample after a list of suspects was made.
Three other men provided DNA samples willingly during the investigation, and they were arrested Friday. They are 22-year-old Shawn O'Brian, 21-year-old Evan Winters and 22-year-old Andrew Kennedy, all of Paducah. Those three men were charged with criminal mischief 1st degree and lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
The car had all four tires slashed, deep scratches all over it, including the hood and truck, a puncture hole in trunk, both side mirrors knocked off, interior upholstery slashed by a sharp object, and the back glass busted out. The vehicle was declared a total loss by the victim's insurance company. In addition to the damage to the vehicle, victims reported that a trampoline had been cut and destroyed that was in the yard. All of this was done during the night.
